GHOSTS AROUND BODMIN MOOR

Price

£3.99

There was no one in Cornwall better qualified than Michael Williams, council member of the Ghost Club Society and ghost hunter for more than 40 years, to investigate the strange phenomena still witnessed regularly by many people on and around Bodmin Moor.

Here he describes a ghostly young mining boy at the Crow's Nest how a group of people glimpsed an apparition in the small bar at Jamaica Inn, and how two children watched as a man, uncannily resembling the long dead rector at Warleggan, walked straight past them and disappeared through a gate.

Often working with mediums, Michael explains some of his own notable experiences of making contact with spirits, including that of the Reverend Sabine Baring-Gould. He also relates a fascinating story of 'apporting' in which a tool vanishes from an old outhouse and strangely reappears a year later, and recalls fondly his talks wiht a moorland 'wise woman'.
