Teardrop Galileo Thermometer - 11cm

This teardrop-shaped Galileo thermometer will look great in any position indoors and shows the current temperature. It utilises 17th-century astronomer Galileo Galilei's discovery that the density of liquids varies with temperature. Carefully weighted glass globes are suspended in a liquid-filled tube, where they sedately sink or float as the surrounding air gets hotter or colder. The engraved brass tag on the lowest floating globe indicates temperature.

It measures 11cm tall, and 8cm wide with 5 globes ranging from 18 to 24 degrees.
