TALES OF CORNISH GIANTS
SKU 41137

These stories were collected by the scientist, poet and pioneer photographer Robert Hunt (1807-1887) and tell us something of the old folklore which was apparently still quite common in the early Victorian period.
The cover picture is based on the frontispiece to Hunt's Popular Romances of the West of England (1865), showing the giant Bolster striding from the Beacon to Carn Brea - a distance of six miles.
