TALES OF CORNISH WITCHCRAFT
Price
£3.99
These stories were collected by the scientist, poet and pioneer photographer Robert Hunt (1807-1887) and tell us something of the old superstitions which were apparently still quite common in the early Victorian period.
At that time, Cornish 'witches' - also called charmers or pellers - could be male or female, and either malign or more often well-meaning. Some made a good living y selling their 'knowledge' to the unwary.
