Alex Davies is a ceramist based in South Cornwall. Her unique ceramic sculptures are characterised by textures borrowed from the natural world. The Cornish coast serves as a primary source of inspiration for her work, with many hours spent traversing its scenic coastal paths. Alex's deep-seated love and appreciation for nature developed during her childhood near the Thames Estuary. Immersed in the local environment, she spent countless hours exploring the surrounding woodland and wading through the nearby brook. These formative experiences instilled in her a profound connection to the environment, which continues to influence her artistic creations today.
