Gordon Hunt has been a practicing artist and designer for over thirty years, since leaving college with a degree in Graphic Design. He works from his studio here in Fowey. 'I am particularly interested in the light effects of sunshine on water, giving sparkling reflections and silhouettes, resulting in strong contrasting colours and dynamic shapes, for a more abstract realisation of the subject matter. Flashes of contrasting colours resonate through the pictures and when placed together this contrast generates visual energy and excitement. I concentrate on painting the light around the object, I feel the light then becomes the subject of the painting.'
