Rachel Berrington is originally from Mevagissey, and has lived and worked in Cornwall for most of her life. She is a part time primary teacher and has been involved with a variety of community arts projects for children. Now living in Padstow with her husband and two children, Rachel is starting to explore different aspects of sculpture. She is strongly influenced by a love of the sea and a fascination with myths and legends. She has been sculpting in wire for many years, starting with mermaids and fairies. The sculptures are made with galvanized wire mesh, making them light and suitable for gardens.
