Helen’s paintings use objects, wildlife and settings around Fowey to tell stories of Cornwall. Her small sculptures - adventures at sea, starlit skies and sailing boats - are created from materials she collects on beaches around Fowey, Bude and the North coast.

Originally a Biology graduate and teacher, Helen gained a first-class degree in Fine Art at the University of Nottingham in 2010 and was subsequently Artist in Residence. She has exhibited widely across the East Midlands. Commissions include the Sustainable Chemistry Department at Nottingham University, the British Geological Survey and private clients.

Since moving to Cornwall her work has increasingly been inspired by Fowey, it’s people, the landscape, the river and sea.
