About Fowey River Gallery

Fowey River Gallery opened in November 2000 and is considered by many to be one of Cornwall`s premier Art Galleries. rn The two storey gallery, housed in a fine Georgian merchants house in the heart of the town, is owned and run by Jenny and Kevin Marchant. rn The work is largely figurative in nature, often by local artists, but not exclusively so - quality is the byword. rn Importantly it is an ever changing showcase, with four or five major exhibitions each year in addition to frequent new work from regular exhibitors.

rn Whether you are an ardent collector, a lover of fine things or simply someone who loves to browse, we hope you will enjoy the gallery. rn If you would like to be kept informed about our exhibitions please email us through the contact menu or email us at: info@foweyrivergallery.co.uk

rn We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you to the Gallery soon.

PARKING

Fowey has two long stay car parks, one at the top of the hill, overlooking the town and the other, Caffa Mill, by the car ferry to Bodinnick. In addition there is a small short stay car park at Albert Quay, directly adjoining the gallery. There is no on street parking in the town centre. The main park at the top of the hill is a scenic, if steep, ten minute walk down to the main street. It is served by the town bus, which runs at regular intervals throughout the season and on a restricted service during the winter months. The Caffa Mill car park is a fairly level ten minute walk to the town centre and has lovely river views. It is approached by following the signs for the Bodinnick Ferry. It is possible to drive through the town and drop off or pick up passengers or purchases at the gallery, but the streets are narrow and no waiting is permitted.
For those arriving by boat, tenders may be left on the Albert Quay pontoon during the summer months and on the Berrills Yard pontoon, by the all weather lifeboat, out of the main season. A water taxi (VHF Channel 6) runs from Town Quay to visitors moorings during the summer months.

CARRIAGE and EXPORTS

For those unable to visit the gallery in person or for those who wish to have artworks sent on, we have arrangements in place with a national carrier service. Artwork is painstakingly packed and insured in transit. Generally speaking we use a next day carrier service, but this may take longer for some parts of the UK. We have a wealth of export experience and can ship worldwide.
