Alicia Trewhella graduated in music from Cardiff University and has worked as a music teacher and part time artist in many parts of the world. She came to live in the depths of the Cornish countryside a few years ago, and now spends most of her time concentrating on her painting, although she also works as a professional musician and teacher. Her work, which often pictures the Helford River, St Michael’s Mount, St Ives and Fowey, reflects the privilege of living in Cornwall, a land of hidden beauty, startling contrasts in landscape and picturesque villages, all surrounded by the shining sea.
